Figure 1: The APS North Galactic Pole Survey Surface Density Map

A plot of the average surface density of galaxies in 15 arcminute wide boxes for the current version of the APS North Galactic Pole Survey. The peak averaged density is over 1500 galaxies. Plate-to-Plate corrections for the changes in limiting surface brightness have not been applied. (Click on image below for full size image)
